E.O.F.S.A.A.’s webinar with Suzanna Lemek from 110 Recruiting is an exemplary but necessary milestone in helping alumni get a great first start in entering the working world. There are many misconceptions and myths that graduates believe and make decisions that do not best reflect their accomplishments on paper during the job hunting process. From resumes, cover letters, to the even the first interview, 110 Recruiting offered advice that is crucial in landing that first job. Instead of searching (or working) harder, it is best to search smarter for tools that can catapult recent graduates to a higher probability of becoming employed. Knowing fully well the services that our demographic needs, I believe that this interview tailored to the needs of our community by emphasizing the skill sets required but also by appealing to one of the reasons why our E.O.F. state-wide community works so hard in the first place. Suzanna mentioned: “All of us go to college to be better than what our parents are, because that’s why they wanted it for us.” That’s how family works and that’s what E.O.F.S.A.A. strives to be for our members across the state.
